Description:
The successful applicant will work in the Biomedical Sciences Program as a Teaching Assistant. He/she will work with members of a dedicated team to teach undergraduate students. The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:
- Working with laboratory experiments, performing teaching and teaching-related duties, and general participation in program evaluation and continued development.
- Help professors and develop course plans and experiments.
- Assist faculty members with classroom and lab instruction and exams.
- Hand out assignments and grade papers.
- Meet with and instruct students during office hours and clinics.
- Take attendance and record responses.
- Perform required teaching-related projects.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Medicine, Biology or a related field with a minimum grade of very good.
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Sciences or a closely related discipline. Qualified candidates are expected to have excellent publication and research records in Computational Biology or related areas, such as Bioinformatics or Computational Genome Biology.
- 2-3 years of practical experience in computational biology or biomedical science.
- Ability to handle several tasks effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Excellent English, written and spoken.
